High Stakes Poker

I still remember several details of this hand from watching it on TV a few years ago.

A few things to note:

When Barry Greenstein says that he has "about 190" when the hand started. He is referring to $190,000.
Watch how Farha's read is so good that he seriously considers folding the Kings.
Notice how Greenstein reacts after the result of this pot.

Incredible.

They said at the end of the clip that Farhar "made the wrong decision, but got the right card." Do you agree?

After going all in, he immediately asked, "You got aces?" I mean, he knew, right? Or if he seriously believed that he was facing aces, do you think he would have folded the Kings?

Matt,
Yeah, he seriously thought he was facing aces, and he still couldn't get away from the kings. That's the problem with poker sometimes. You have such a strong hand that it is hard to trust your own read.
In my life I have never folded kings pre-flop. I've folded queens a few times, but never kings.

He made the wrong decision and got the right card.

I completely agree. I think his instincts told him to fold, and I think he should have folded.

But... it is tough to lay down kings.
