My niece and I were doing some math over Christmas break. Since she is only ten she doesn't know the algebraic steps to solving two-step equations. Yet if I gave her a problem with an integer answer she would figure it out in her head. So I left her with a problem that she did not understand to figure out on her own.
Just now she texted me on g-chat:
