Do it Anyway

My mom shared this with me this weekend, and I liked it so much I had to pass it on. This was written by Kent Keith when he was only 19-years-old:

People are Often Unreasonable

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have and it may just never be enough;
Give the world the best you have anyway.

Love that! A lot to think about, and all true.

Also, if you forward this to 10 friends and they forward it to 10 friends then Microsoft can track how many people it goes to and they'll send you the recipe for the Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookies (a $500 value).
