They say the difference is that coal miners' deaths are slow and steady, staying out of the media's eye, while nuclear accident deaths are rare and flashy.
Hydro power isn't even on this chart. 90 people died two years ago at the Sayano–Shushenskaya dam failure in Siberia. Who's heard of that?
